Summary

Between 1980 and 1984, a several drought stroke Ethiopia juxtaposed to a serious armed conflict. The absence of food was a cute and the number of victim sums up to thousands. The images of this humanitarians disaster were everywhere on ‘’western’’ media and Africa was presented as a deprived land with deathly wars, famine, crisis, and poverty. At the same era, a Nigerian university scholar, Godfrey Nzamujo, graduate in agronomy, economics and in computer sciences, professor in the USA, chocked by the happenings, decided to abandon university and return to Africa. His ambition was to remedy the challenges of African Renaissance. Just from nothing and was considered to be insane ,but today he is at the head of a great empire called Songhai .His concept of green rural towns ,new look of African villages that was developed in Porto-Novo-Benin has henceforth spread in the Sub-region, it was to construct African values from vision, courage, creativity, sense of togetherness, discipline and solidarity. It is an eloquent testimony of African Renaissance which this book makes an echo without recalling past event and that which has landed ancestral Africa, a land of first civilization, writing, sciences and religion into the present generalized lethargy situation. The elders said that, in order not to slumber in euphoria and he in danger of missing the track, it is better to know where we come from.
